Win your GCBazaar Escape Package Promotion Terms and Conditions
Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
The Promoter is Gold Coast Tourism Corporation Limited ABN 75 009 935 184 of Level 2, 64 Ferny Avenue, Surfers Paradise, Queensland, 4217.
Entry is open to Australian residents only. Directors, management and employees of the Promoter, its related companies and agencies, and immediate families of these listed persons, and the retailers and suppliers involved with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Children under the age of 13 years who satisfy these conditions may enter the promotion with their parent’s or legal guardian’s consent.
The Promotion commences 12.01am Wednesday 7th of May and ends 5.00pm AEST on Friday 27th June (Promotion Period).
To enter, fill out an online entry form at http://www.gcbazaar.com/competition/ during the Promotion Period. Completion of this component will put the entrant into the competition to win the prize (GCBazaar Escape Package). The best overall valid entry will win the GCBazaar Escape Package. Only entries with one or more validated email addresses will be deemed valid.
Chance plays no part in determining the winner of either the GCBazaar Escape Package or any of the Food, Fashion or Fun Prizes. Valid entries will be judged with regard to accuracy. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The GCBazaar Escape Package is a holiday package for two adults including: accommodation for two (2) for four (4) nights at Azzura Greens Resort, valid from 1 July 2008 – 19 December 2008, excluding school holidays – 20 Sept – 11 Oct 2008. Subject to availability; one set of return airfares from closest capital city to Gold Coast for two adults, carrier to be determined at the discretion of the Promoter (2); restaurant vouchers (food and beverage, excluding alcohol) for Blue Fire Restaurant, No change given if full amount not used. Voucher expires 31/12/08; restaurant vouchers (food and beverage, excluding alcohol) for Hard Rock Café, voucher cannot be exchanged for cash; massage for two (2) from Ripple Massage, includes a two hour Ripple Frangipani Package, including aromatherapy massage, foot reflexology massage, scented foot soak, full body exfoliation, organic clay face mask, gift of Ripple lotion. Sobject to availability of therapist; whale watching trip for two (2) including morning tea from Australian Whale Watching, lost and stolen vouchers will not be replaced or honored. Valid from June 1 2008 until October 31, 2008. The cruise is not transferable; trip for two adults to Mt Tamborine and O’Reilly’s from Australian Day Tours and five (5) day car hire based on a Hyundai Getz 5 day car hire from Thrifty Surfers Paradise. Car hire excludes fuel, insurance or any other associated coasts.

Total maximum value of the GCBazaar Escape Package is $4547.00. All other spending money, meals, taxes, insurances, transfers and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner. All winning adults taking the trip must depart from and return to the same Australian capital city and travel at the same times. The GCBazaar Escape Package is subject to booking and flight availability and must be completed within the 1st of July 2008 and 31st of October 2008 period, at which time the prize and prize components thereof shall expire. No extension will be permitted. No unused portions of the prize may be redeemed for cash. Any alterations to confirmed flight details will be at the expense of the winner.
The winners will be notified in writing and also contacted by telephone. The names of all winners will be published in The Australian on 15 June 2008.
If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
If any winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s nominated parent or guardian.
In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
Prizes are not transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other goods or services, unless otherwise specified.
Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any product manufactured by the Promoter.
If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to (a) disqualify the entrant; and/or
(b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following:
(a) technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);
(b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
(c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
(d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these conditions of entry;
(e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; and/or
(f) use of a prize.
All online entry forms that are submitted by entrants become the property of the Promoter.
The Promoter will collect and use the information supplied by you on the online entry form for the purposes of conducting the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. Unless otherwise advised, the Promoter may also use the information for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes including sending electronic messages. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. The Promoter complies with the Australian National Privacy Principles. The laws of Queensland apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
