GCBazaar Race Day and Fashion Parade

GCBazaar will be off and racing in 2008 with its own race!! Wanless Waste Corp/GCBazaar Race Day will include a race dedicated to the Gold Coast's newest and brightest festival "the GCBazaar Cup".
• Gourmet food stalls offering local and exotic produce in a market area on the Fountain Lawn
• Shiny new Gold Coast modelling agency, Sass and Bentley, will present a parade of models treading the catwalk in stunning new season’s designs, supported by Scheherezade, the coastal Belly-Dancer
• Cosmetics experts and make-up artists in the Pamper Lounge for high art facial decoration
• The first GCBazaar Cup will be run at the Club with a strong field of thoroughbreds participating in the metropolitan Winter Carnival

Originally this suburb was the site for the Bundall Sugar Plantation. Later the land was sub-divided and used for dairy farming.
Now, the suburb is a major site for city landmarks the Gold Coast Arts Centre which features a theatre, art gallery and arts café is the largest regional arts and entertainment complex in regional Australia.
Gold Coast City Council has a major administrative centre and corporate offices are situated in a cluster. Evandale Sculpture Walk near Gold Coast Art Centre gets you outside and art loving. The Historic Museum is open on the first Sunday of the month March to November at Elliott Street.
