The Australian smash-hit musical Keating! is coming to town, hot on the heels of a phenomenal four sold-out seasons in Sydney in 2007.

This outstanding political satire, packed with infectious songs, has received numerous accolades, culminating in its incredible success at the 2007 Helpmann Awards.

Keating! is a wickedly funny and clever musical comedy that burst into life at the 2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, where is won all available awards including the Barry Award for most outstanding show. The Age Critics’Award and the Golden Gibbo. Following rave reviews and standing ovations across Australia, writer/creator Casey Bennetto won a Green Room Award in 2005 and a Helpmann Award in 2006, both for Best Original Score.

Joined by a sensational five-piece band, the cast includes the brilliant Mike McLeish as Paul Keating, Terry Serio as Bob Hawke and John Howard, and recently returned from the West End, Brendan Coustley as Alexander Downer and John Hewson.

Bundall information

Originally this suburb was the site for the Bundall Sugar Plantation. Later the land was sub-divided and used for dairy farming.

Now, the suburb is a major site for city landmarks – the Gold Coast Arts Centre which features a theatre, art gallery and arts café is the largest regional arts and entertainment complex in regional Australia.

Gold Coast City Council has a major administrative centre and corporate offices are situated in a cluster. Evandale Sculpture Walk near Gold Coast Art Centre gets you outside and art loving. The Historic Museum is open on the first Sunday of the month March to November at Elliott Street.
