Woongoolba information

Once a sugar town renowned for its rum production, Beenleigh has for more than a century been a vital connection between the capital city Brisbane and the Gold Coast region.

Situated among stretches of sugarcane just off the highway to Brisbane, the historic town of Beenleigh is an entirely different experience for Gold Coast visitors.

This rural Gold Coast area was settled in 1864 with German, English and Scottish settlers all adding to the town's current character.
